Which Seetronic connector do you need? Choose the electrical function first: mains power, XLR signal or loudspeaker output. Then match the full model, contact arrangement, cable size, mounting type and environmental requirements. Similar-looking locking connectors are not a reason to assume interchangeability.

1. Select power connectors by the full family
Seetronic identifies SAC3FCA-N-W as a locking three-contact power-in cable connector. Its published mating references include SAC3MCA-N-W and specified N-W/W-M chassis sockets. Match those exact references instead of assuming any SAC3 connector will fit. The manufacturer’s ratings distinguish IEC and UL conditions; use the rating applicable to the installation.
Confirm conductor size, cable outside diameter, strain relief and the required enclosure connection. An IP designation applies under the manufacturer’s specified assembly and connection conditions; it does not make every completed cable or open socket waterproof. Use the assembly instructions for the exact model and have mains wiring completed by qualified personnel.
2. Choose XLR connectors by the signal and termination
SCHF3-B is a three-contact female XLR cable connector with a black stainless-steel housing and gold-plated contacts according to Seetronic. Start by identifying the mating end on the equipment, then choose the connector gender and contact count. Check the equipment’s wiring diagram before terminating a cable.
Physical contact count does not define a cable’s electrical suitability for every application. Specify whether the connection carries an analogue audio signal, a digital signal or another equipment-specific function. Cable impedance, shielding and wiring must suit that function.
3. Separate speaker cable connectors from chassis sockets
SLDF4-BC is a four-pole female loudspeaker cable connector. A chassis socket is a different mechanical component. Select the pair using the documented mating information, then check the pin assignment and cable range. Do not infer bridging or channel wiring from connector shape alone.
Before buying a production quantity
- Record the complete model, including every suffix.
- Identify cable-mounted versus panel-mounted construction.
- Check the mating equipment or connector model.
- Measure the actual cable diameter and identify conductor size.
- Review assembly, electrical and environmental specifications.
- Check the required quantity of each end; one cable assembly may need different connector models.

How do suffixes and mounting affect selection?
Use N-W, -67, -M and -LY as parts of the full model number. This table lists verified pairings rather than a universal suffix-decoding rule. Cable connectors terminate a flexible lead; chassis connectors mount to equipment panels. Check cutout dimensions, fixing method, cable outside diameter and conductor size in the exact drawing.
When does the IP rating apply?
Use the specified mating parts, correct cable and seals, and complete assembly according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Check protection in the mated and unmated conditions separately, including any required cap and panel sealing. A component IP rating does not establish protection for an entire enclosure. Do not connect or disconnect under load unless the exact product documentation explicitly permits it.
Is SAC3FCB-N-W confirmed here?
Not yet. Its manufacturer’s English and Chinese documents list different mating models. Ask BSPoo to confirm the exact power-out pair and supplied revision before ordering; do not substitute the power-in pair from the English copy.

Common questions
Can I replace one locking power connector with a similar-looking model?
Confirm the manufacturer’s mating references and ratings first. Shape, colour and a shared model prefix alone are not sufficient evidence.
Does an IP65 connector make the whole installation IP65?
No. The complete assembly, mating state, cable fit and enclosure also matter. Follow the exact product documentation and installation conditions.
Can I use the same cable for XLR audio and every digital application?
Do not assume so. Check the signal standard, required cable characteristics and equipment pinout as well as the connector.
